After your have served for a period of time it in a location, you have to move. When you move there comes the headache, the lost stuffs, and believe it or not Medals. We lived in Japan for the last three years and not all of it was a vacation. I worked on airplanes there, making sure that they were ready to fly. I received the Air Force Achievement Medal for my time in Japan from 14 April 2004 to 15 April 2007. Here are some pictures of the Medal and the day that I received it.

Senior Airman Aaron D. Stamm distinguished himself by meritorious service as Avionics Intermediate Shop Team Member, Avionics Flight, 35th Maintenance Squadron, 35th Maintenance group, 35th Fighter Wing, Misawa Air Base, Japan. As the section’s tool and equipment monitor Airman Stamm received zero defects during the 2005 Pacific Air Forces Unit Compliance Inspection and was key to the inspector’s praise as “best avionics flight seen”. His actions also helped the section earn “Outstanding Team” honors during the 2005 Maintenance Standardization and Evaluation Team inspection. Airman Stamm was vital in repairing 17 mission critical line replaceable units, saving 2.9 million dollars while maintaining an 84.9 percent F-16 aircraft mission capable rate, a seven year high. His efforts were key to the 35th Maintenance Group winning the 2006 Pacific Air Forces Daedalian Maintenance Trophy. The distinctive accomplishments of Airman Stamm reflect credit upon himself and the United States
