Christmas Time

So, it is that Christmas time once again. You know, I kind of just wanted to skip Christmas this year. I guess I just wasn't in the mood. I finally got around to putting our tree up, and am so glad I did! We turned on the Christmas music, had Levi helping us sort the colors, and Aaron taking pictures. It turned my Christmas Spirit on high! I thought of, Elf, when they were taught, "The best way to spread christmas cheer is singing loudly for all to hear."

By the time, we were done putting up the Christmas tree, we were all ready for Christmas. Levi wanted to watch Elf, he wanted to open his presents (and I must say, he did get a few) and Aaron wanted candy!

As I have thought about Christmas this year and all the trials my family and I have been through, I am ever so grateful for atoning sacrifice of my Savior. I hope my kids know this about me. I hope this is what they remember about me. They are constantly surprising me by how much they learn, while 'not listening'!

I visit teach a wonderful sister, who is not sure where her testimony is, or her Book of Mormon, so I told her I would have her one by tomorrow. I then left, in search of the missionaries! Once I found them, they gave me a copy of the Book of Mormon. As I was getting back into the van, Levi says, "Mommie, is that the missionaries house?" "Yes, Levi, it is." "Is that the Book of Mormon", shocked and amazed that he could remember such things, "Yes, Levi, it is." He continues, "Mommies, I love the Book of Mormon!" Ah, sweet music played in my mind!!! I hope he sensed the spiritual emergency of getting this young woman a Book of Mormon! But if not, I will certainly accept that he loves the Book of Mormon!
